The STEM for Her Mentor Program gives students the opportunity to learn from mentors across various STEM fields in one-on-one sessions, designed to help develop critical professional skills and brainstorm about how to achieve career path goals. Mentors will have the opportunity to guide students through this journey through personalized, one-on-one sessions. You must fully commit to the program in order to apply. Please note, while we do our best to match you with mentor in your field, all mentors, regardless of specialty, are well equipped to share best practices and help you reach your professional development goals.

Mentee Information
PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS:
The STEM for Her Mentor Program is an academic year-long commitment designed to help students explore STEM careers, build professional skills, and gain guidance from experienced mentors.
Participants are expected to:
- Commit to the program for the full academic year.
- Meet with their mentor at least twice per month
- Take an active role in shaping the mentoring relationship by communicating goals, interests, and aspirations.
- Come prepared to mentor meetings with questions, topics, and objectives for discussion.
- Demonstrate professionalism by keeping scheduled appointments and responding to mentor communications within two business days.
- Be open to feedback, self-reflection, and honest conversations about challenges and opportunities for growth.
- Set meaningful goals and work with their mentor to develop actionable plans to achieve them.
- Complete any required program reflections or check-ins throughout the year.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a full-time or part-time college undergraduate student in good standing
- Must complete an application
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old

The STEM for Her Mentor Program is an academic year-long commitment that provides professionals and college students with the opportunity to inspire, guide, and support the next generation of women pursuing STEM pathways.
Mentors are expected to:
- Commit to the program for the full academic year.
- Meet with their mentee at least twice per month (additional interactions are encouraged).
- Support mentees in setting and achieving personal, academic, and career-related goals.
- Share insights about STEM careers, educational pathways, and professional experiences.
- Foster open communication, encourage self-confidence, and provide constructive feedback.
- Serve as a trusted resource by listening, answering questions, and helping mentees navigate opportunities and challenges.
- Demonstrate professionalism by honoring commitments and responding to mentee communications in a timely manner.
By participating in the program, mentors help students build confidence, expand their networks, explore STEM opportunities, and take meaningful steps toward their future goals.
